Murdoch Guild 'desperate'
Tue 10 Nov 2009
The ALSF has today labelled the Murdoch Student Guild's attempt to blame VSU for their campus being ranked worst in the State as desperate.
"While other Western Australian University campus environments have flourished under VSU, the Murdoch Student Guild have chosen to continue pushing a radical Left-wing agenda, offer nothing to students and flounder as a result," ALSF President Alex Butterworth said today. "This just shows why the fee should remain voluntary"
The Rudd Government's attempts to introduce a student poll tax of $250 to fund organisations like the Murdoch Student Guild must be stopped. Students don't want a compulsory fee and are happy with the current voluntary system, which enables them to choose whether they want to hand over their money to organisations like the Murdoch Student Guild or not.
